Loren becomes BJC Junior National champion 2006

It's been a busy but very rewarding few weeks for members of the Erdington-based Yenton Judo Club.

First to hit the mats were brother and sister Jordan and Loren Ivory-Birtles when they took part in their first British Judo Council competition Junior Nationals in Hereford. Jordan won his first two contests with fantastic Ippon throws but unfortunately lost his next contest due to a very poor refereeing decision.

That added to Loren's determination and she showed great technique to win all of her contests and the Gold trophy and become the BJC National Junior Champion 2006.
